Customer beware

We would advise against building with Liberty Homes which is owned by Ken Baxter. Their contract is very slanted toward the builder and not customer friendly. Verbal promises will not be held up by both the agents and the owners. In the contract it says that "nothing stated orally by their agent is valid or enforceable." Communication is very poor. We were promised by the owners that our house would be completed by the end of December and they didn't even have a building permit until the middle of January. They never told us that they were having issues getting the building permit. After we stated we weren't happy with the process or dealing with their company, they continued to try and force us to buy a home. He has still not refunded the downpayment. Not customer friendly at all.
